In this 9th edition of "How Virtual Becomes Real", students explored the spatial and tectonic qualities of form-resistant structures by designing a winery in regional Victoria, therefore answering the question: “What is the shape of wine?”
The 8th edition of “How virtual becomes real” continued the research into the applications of form-resistant structures. The virtual and the real were synthesised by means of both physical form-finding and numerical/digital models.
Sofia Colabella, Alessandro Liuti and I completed a 3-day workshop on “Mixed Reality”, directed by Fologramand NExT Lab at the Melbourne School of Design (MSD).
The International Association for Shell and Spatial Structures (IASS) is currently celebrating Frei Otto with a Special Issue of the IASS Journal (Vol.59, No.1, March 2018).
